Brexicoly noun: a pensive state of mind, similar to melancholy, involving sadness at the UK leaving the European Union. Likely to be brought on by watching news bulletins or crossing the Irish border. Caused by anxieties regarding such implications as the undermining of the principles of international co-operation and the threat to peace in Ireland, and the appearance that it was based on lies and xenophobia.

Usage: ‘Darling, I’m feeling Brexicoly tonight.’

Brexicolic adjective: having or exhibiting the properties of Brexicoly.

Usage: ‘”Those damn English nationalists!” he said, shaking his fist at the TV and slipping into Brexicolic reverie.’
